Hmm, everything in life is ironic. That’s no small reason why it’s worth putting up with.
My father keeps pressuring me: he demands that I write a master’s thesis. I think that piece of paper isn’t worth much unless it’s from Harvard etc.
What matters, after all, is the ability, the ability to manage to do something using your intellect, mind, knowledge. And I realized my level long ago, and a piece of paper won’t help me improve it. It might raise my self-esteem, but as for my ability to get real things done—not so much. And if I sometimes spend half an hour struggling with a simple task while someone else does it in 5 minutes, how will a diploma help me?
It doesn’t make your brain work faster, that’s for sure. Of course, there are worthwhile diplomas, but probably not at RTU, where no one will see them anyway.
If I’m often too lazy, bored, disgusted, and find it difficult to do decent or even good and interesting work, how will increasing the amount of that work help me?
Anyway, hello to all self-destructive overthinkers.
Hmm
